Regional Credit Officer

Job Profile

• Responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of existing and prospective clients for all credit facilities originated by the branches.

 • Should ensure that credit appraisals are prepared in accordance with the credit policy, procedures and laid down guidelines of the Company as well as the Regulator prior to forward for approval of the higher authorities. 

• Ensure proper documentations are collected as per the credit policy and procedure for verifying creditworthiness, • Coordinate with the Regional Managers, Branch Managers of the respective regions, and the Head Office Credit Supervisors (if required) in the finalization of credit appraisals. 

• Carry out customer/ business inspections with the Regional Managers if required,.

 • Identify and correct any lapses in the Credit Proposal by communicating and instructing the branch staff before submitting it for approval. 

• Guide and educate the Branch Marketing Officers/Appraisal Officers in preparing Credit Appraisals in line with the Credit Policy Manual and Circulars,
